Welcome to HerbsOnline, if you’ve come for the old online shop, we are unfortunately no longer operating and we thank you for your support.
HerbsOnline has now changed ownership as well as nature of business and will return soon, so check back regularly.
Pls let me know when you are up and running
Thanks
Sorry Natalie, won’t be running HerbsOnline any longer at all. I can inbox you someone you can try for dried herbs/spices for medicinal and culinary use – let me know if I can forward you the details?

Minette

Hi, maybe you can help, please? I want to buy guarana powder, preferably locally in SA, but so far my internet searches have had no positive results. I know from previous searches that Herbs Online used to sell guarana. Will you be selling it again in future, or could you perhaps direct me to another local supplier?
Thank you so much!
Annamarie
Annamarie, thanks for the comment. Sorry, I won’t personally be starting up HerbsOnline again to sell dried herbs. I’ll send some contact details to your inbox on where you might try.
Regards,
Minette

Sorry, HerbsOnline was not sold as a going concern. For an edible plant nursery, that includes herbs, contact John from FarmerJohn (farmerjohn.co.za).

good day, i would like to find out if you could give me some info on how to grow stevia,
if you dont sell plants then i wanted to know if you sell powdered stevia and how much it costs.
kind regards
Hi there. Stevia grows lovely up here in Johannesburg, I’ve had a number of successful plants. They do go completely dormant during the winter and sort of “run out” of their peak in a couple of years, but they are still great fun to grow. I loved giving my customers a bit of sorrel to chew (very sour) and straight afterward a stevia leaf – it is amazing!
For dried stevia powder, you can look in any good health shop – Nature’s Choice or Nature’s Source (can’t remember exactly what the company name is), has stevia powder and stevia liquid for sale which I’ve used before for tea and coffee as a sugar replacement. I’ve not used it in baking, but apparently you can do, you just need to bulk up on some other ingredients.
I don’t run my nursery any longer, but you can try a couple of places – John from Farmer John (farmerjohn.co.za), or from the herb stall at the Irene market – they used to supply me with Stevia. I also know that the Healthy Living Herbs brand that sell at Lifestyle garden centre and a couple of other nurseries used to have Stevia too.
Hope you come right!
